Box Leisure Recruitment is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a leading UK leisure and hospitality operator for an experienced Kitchen Team Manager based in Ayrshire .

The Role


As Kitchen Team Manager, you'll take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of a busy kitchen operation. You'll lead by example, creating a positive and motivated team culture while ensuring consistently high standards of food quality, food safety and customer service.


You'll play a key role in developing your team, providing coaching, mentoring and ongoing support to help individuals reach their full potential while delivering operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, inspire and develop a large kitchen team in a busy hospitality environment.
  • Coach and mentor team members to build confidence, capability and performance.
  • Create a positive, supportive culture where people are motivated to succeed.
  • Ensure consistently high standards of food quality, presentation and cleanliness.
  • Plan staffing levels and manage labour to meet business demands.
  • Monitor kitchen performance, identify improvements and implement best practice.
  • Manage stock, ordering and kitchen resources effectively.
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, health & safety and company procedures.
  • Handle operational challenges confidently, maintaining smooth and efficient service.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider management team to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
About You


You'll be an experienced kitchen leader who enjoys developing others as much as delivering excellent food.


You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience as a Kitchen Manager, Head Chef or experienced Sous Chef.
  • Strong leadership skills with a genuine passion for coaching and mentoring teams.
  • Experience working within a high-volume hospitality or leisure environment.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing labour and food costs.
  • A thorough understanding of food hygiene and health & safety legislation.
  • A Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification would be advantageous.
