Grow here. “Are you ready to join a team of talented engineers and shape the future of the Energy Industry?” This is an exciting and interesting time to join the AECOM Energy team covering all aspects of work within Transmission and Distribution (T&D), Renewables and Nuclear decommissioning, twinned with this is our ever-expanding digital scope, ensuring a variety of projects to work on.  We are seeking experienced BIM Managers to support advanced digital delivery across multiple opportunities. Successful candidates will work either within our central Digital Energy Team or within one of our three Energy practices: Nuclear, Transmission & Distribution (T&D), and R&D. In addition to supporting AECOM’s digital transformation, the role will involve holding active, long-term project positions as a BIM Manager on major programmes, including the National Grid Great Grid Upgrade Programme.These are complex and high-profile roles, reflecting the scale and technical demands of major infrastructure programmes. The BIM Manager will be responsible for leading BIM delivery in line with ISO 19650 best practice, overseeing multidisciplinary BIM/CAD production, information coordination, and model-based collaboration across project teams and supply chains.The role requires strong leadership in implementing and managing BIM standards, processes, and digital workflows at project and programme level. The most advanced candidates will bring experience delivering BIM at scale across large infrastructure portfolios, shaping strategic BIM implementation, supporting interface and data coordination, mentoring teams, and driving continuous improvement in digital delivery and project outcomes.Here’s what you’ll do:BIM Implementation Strategy – develop BIM Implementation strategy & deliver complex international projects.CDE Management – establish & administer the CDE & support efficient management of multi-stakeholder projects.Project Management – coordinate BIM execution & project delivery with project leadership.BIM Execution – create & maintain the project’s industry framework docs: BEP, MIDP, MPDT, appendices etc.Technical Support – establish data-integrated workflows for Water Plant projects & provide support, guidance & training to project teams.Digital Technology & Content Management – oversee the production of smart object content, templates & libraries in the context of the project, deploy the use of AECOM’s content management system (Autodesk Content Catalogue/UNIFI) onto projects and manage the best practice use of digital technology for collaboration, coordination & delivery.Quality – establish & administer the digital quality assurance control procedures.Collaboration – be an ambassador for a global group working with AECOM region project teams, Enterprise Capabilities office disciplines & other Enterprise Capabilities Digital e grow with us.Become part of our dynamic energy team, which boasts a team of leading and innovating industry experts. Take advantage of career development opportunities, our flexible hybrid working model to ensure a work-life balance that suits your lifestyle, technical practice networks, AECOM University, and volunteering days.Why Join Us:Be part of a dynamic team that tackles challenging and impactful energy projects.Work alongside industry-leading professionals and thought leaders.Engage in a collaborative and inclusive work environment.Access to continuous learning and development petitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.QualificationsReady to push the limits of what’s possible?Here’s what we’re looking for:Comprehensive knowledge of the ISO 19650 framework and related BIM standards.Experience managing and delivering project information on multidisciplinary Energy projects, with particular experience on large-scale infrastructure or industrial facilities, working with geographically dispersed teams.Experience delivering BIM data using industry-standard software, including one or more of the following: Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Civil 3D, Autodesk Advanced Steel, Autodesk Plant 3D, Bentley OpenPlant.Experience working with and administering a Common Data Environment (CDE) such as Autodesk Construction Cloud and/or Bentley ProjectWise.Proven experience in multi-discipline coordination, clash detection, and issue management, with advanced user capability in tools such as Autodesk Navisworks, Revizto, and ACC Model Coordination.Strong background in the technical production of 3D and 2D model deliverables for Energy infrastructure projects, including complex plant, substations, or industrial facilities.Strong understanding of energy infrastructure equipment and systems, including familiarity with specification-driven design and process, mechanical, and electrical design methodologies.Knowledge and understanding of process diagrams and electrical schematics, including P&IDs, single-line diagrams, and system layouts, as applicable to Energy projects.Visual programming skills preferred, with working knowledge of Dynamo or Grasshopper.A demonstrable portfolio of BIM delivery on Energy projects, such as power generation, transmission, substations, nuclear, or related energy infrastructure.Professional Qualifications:Degree in either Industrial or Process Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architectural or Design Technology or Construction Technology, or related discipline project execution experience or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training, and related experience.You will also be self-motivated with an ability to work both autonomously where required, with a strong sense of commitment, a willingness to learn and a desire to work in a dynamic deadline driven team environment.At AECOM, we believe in creating a better world through innovative and sustainable solutions.
