About the Role

Connex Education is recruiting Primary Supply Teachers to work across a range of welcoming primary schools in Derby City Centre, Darley Abbey, Chester Green and the wider DE1 area.

Whether you’re looking for flexible day-to-day supply, a longer-term placement, or planning ahead for September, we have opportunities to suit your availability.

Roles are available across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, with both full-time and part-time positions available.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons in line with the school’s curriculum.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively.
• Adapt quickly to different school settings and year groups.
• Work collaboratively with school staff to support pupils’ learning and development.

Assignment Details

• Immediate and September 2026 starts available.
• Flexible full-time and part-time opportunities.
• Day-to-day supply, short-term and long-term placements.
• Work available across Derby City Centre, Darley Abbey, Chester Green and the wider DE1 area.

Person Specification

We’re looking for candidates who have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Recent experience teaching within UK primary schools.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• A flexible and professional approach.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.

All roles are subject to satisfactory background checks, including an Enhanced DBS.
