IT Technician - Secondary School in Reading - ASAP Start!
A well-regarded secondary school in Reading is seeking a reliable and proactive IT Technician to join the school as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity to support the day-to-day running of the school’s IT systems and play a key role in ensuring technology effectively supports teaching, learning, and administration.

Key Responsibilities
Providing first-line IT support to staff and pupils
Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
Setting up and maintaining computers, laptops, and classroom technology
Supporting the management of user accounts and permissions
Assisting with system updates, backups, and equipment maintenance
Liaising with the IT Network Manager and external providers when required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Previous experience in an IT support or technician role
Strong knowledge of Windows systems and Microsoft 365
Basic understanding of networking principles
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong organisational and communication skills
A proactive, reliable, and customer-focused approach
