Are you currently running a fast-track personal injury caseload but struggling to find a firm prepared to give you that first proper opportunity within multi-track work?

CRA Consulting is working with an established and highly regarded claimant law firm in Wakefield that is looking to recruit an experienced Personal Injury Fee Earner into its growing injury team.
The firm is specifically interested in speaking with capable fast-track litigators who have built solid experience across RTA, EL/PL or general personal injury claims but now feel ready to take the next step.
You do not need to be an established multi-track lawyer already.
What the firm wants is someone with good litigation fundamentals, strong client-care skills and a genuine desire to progress into more complex and higher-value work. In return, you will receive the technical support, supervision and exposure needed to make that move successfully.

The role
This is not simply another fast-track caseload with a different job title.
You will join a team that handles claims ranging from lower-value litigation through to complex multi-track and Serious Injury matters. Your caseload and responsibilities will be developed around your existing experience, allowing you to gradually take on more complex claims while working alongside experienced senior lawyers.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing your own caseload of claimant personal injury matters
• Progressing cases from instruction through to settlement
• Investigating liability, causation and quantum
• Reviewing medical evidence and identifying the need for further expert input
• Drafting witness statements, pleadings and schedules of loss
• Instructing and liaising with medical experts, counsel and other professional advisers
• Negotiating settlements and issuing proceedings where appropriate
• Securing interim payments and rehabilitation support for clients
• Maintaining regular communication with clients throughout their claims
• Assisting senior lawyers on complex and higher-value matters
• Developing the technical knowledge required to progress into established multi-track work

About you
You may be a Solicitor, CILEx Lawyer, Legal Executive or an experienced non-qualified Fee Earner.
The firm is flexible around qualification and PQE because the real focus is on your practical litigation experience and your potential to develop.
You are likely to have:

• Experience managing a fast-track personal injury caseload
• A good understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules
• Experience handling litigated RTA, EL/PL or general personal injury claims
• Confidence assessing liability and reviewing medical evidence
• Experience drafting statements, pleadings and schedules of loss
• Strong communication and client-care skills
• The ability to manage deadlines and progress cases proactively
• A genuine ambition to move into multi-track and higher-value work

Previous exposure to multi-track claims would be welcomed, but it is not essential.
