Job Description

Contract length: 3-months

Start Date: Immediate start
As the UK’s largest fibre-only network, and its only proven wholesale challenger, we’re busy setting new standards for what digital infrastructure can and should be.
Designed from scratch for the internet, our network is greener, more reliable and ready for the future. The products we provide over it not only lead the market on speed, value and service, they help businesses to innovate, provide entire communities with a better foundation for their digital lives and support economic growth, locally and nationally.
We’re looking for a People Partner contractor to join our team on-a 3-month basis. This role is critical to supporting leaders and employees through complex people matters and organisational change, providing expert guidance that ensures fair, consistent and legally compliant outcomes. Working as a trusted People Partner, you'll lead employee relations cases, redundancy and restructuring programmes, while building strong relationships and coaching managers to make confident, informed decisions. It's an exciting opportunity for an empathetic and commercially minded HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about creating positive people experiences during times of change.
What you’ll be doing:
- Partner with managers and leaders to provide expert guidance on employee relations matters, helping to create positive and fair outcomes for everyone involved
- Lead and support organisational change, restructuring and redundancy programmes, ensuring employees are treated with empathy, transparency and respect throughout the process
- Coach and empower managers to confidently navigate people-related challenges, building their capability to handle sensitive situations effectively
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to develop practical people solutions that support business goals while maintaining a strong employee experience
- Use people data, insights and best practice to identify trends, manage risks and contribute to the continuous improvement of HR policies and processes
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Proven experience managing complex employee relations cases, with the confidence to provide clear, balanced and practical HR advice
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and experience supporting redundancy, restructuring and organisational change programmes
- The ability to build trusted relationships with managers and senior stakeholders, influencing decisions through a collaborative and credible approach
- Excellent communication and coaching skills, enabling you to guide others through sensitive people matters with empathy and professionalism
- Strong organisational skills and resilience, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and delivering positive outcomes

- Strong coaching and communication skills, enabling you to guide managers through challenging people situations with confidence and empathy
- Exceptional organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases, consultation programmes and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
