M&A Tax Manager
Manchester City Centre + Hybrid working
£55,000 - £65,000 + Benefits + Bonus
- Lead tax due diligence projects for acquisitions, disposals, mergers, restructurings, and other corporate transactions
- Identify, analyse, and communicate tax risks, opportunities, and potential liabilities associated with target businesses
- Advise on transaction structuring to achieve tax-efficient outcomes while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation
- Review financial, legal, and operational information to assess direct and indirect tax exposures
- Manage the preparation and review of due diligence reports, highlighting key findings and recommendations for clients and stakeholders
- Provide tax input throughout the transaction lifecycle, from initial assessment through to completion and post-deal integration.
- Coordinate with legal, corporate finance, accounting, and external advisory teams to deliver seamless transaction support
- Support the negotiation of tax-related provisions within sale and purchase agreements, including warranties, indemnities, and completion mechanisms.
- Advise clients on post-acquisition restructuring, integration planning, and tax optimisation strategies
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess the impact on transactions and client structures
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on complex M&A tax matters
What you'll need to be successful:
- Suitable qualification with UK experience
- ACA, ACCA, ATT, CTA qualified
- M&A tax experience (or a desire to focus in this area more)
- Corporate tax experience & knowledge
