EYFS Nursery Practitioner (Level 3 Required)

Location: Derby, DE23 (commutable from Littleover, Normanton, Sunny Hill, Mickleover, and Sinfin)
Salary: £110-£120 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term Temporary

We are delighted to be recruiting for a caring and enth usiastic EYFS Nursery Practitioner t o join a welcoming and well-established early years setting in Derby.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Early Years professional who is passionate about supporting children during the most important stages of their development. Working as part of a supportive EYFS team, you'll help create a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive environment where every child can grow in confidence, develop key skills, and build a lifelong love of learning.

Working closely with the Nursery Teacher and wider Early Years team, you will:

• Support children's learning and development through a balance of structured and play-based activities
• Deliver engaging experiences aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework
• Promote children's communication, language, social, and emotional development
• Contribute to observations, assessments, and learning journeys to monitor progress
• Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and school readiness skills
• Provide targeted support for children with additional needs where required
• Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents to support each child's development
• Provide personal care, including toileting and changing, with dignity and sensitivity when required

This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll play a key part in supporting children's learning, wellbeing, and development every day.

We're looking for someone who:

• Holds a Level 3 Early Years Educator, Nursery Practitioner, or equivalent qualification
• Has previous experience working within a nursery or EYFS setting
• Demonstrates a strong understanding of the EYFS Framework and child development
• Is confident supporting early communication, language, literacy, and numeracy skills
• Is comfortable providing personal care as part of daily responsibilities
• Is patient, nurturing, and passionate about helping young children flourish
• Works well as part of a collaborative team and builds positive relationships with children and families
• Is reliable, proactive, and committed to a long-term opportunity
