Learning Support Assistant – SEND School – Thurrock | September Start

We are working with a welcoming and inclusive SEND school in the Thurrock area that is looking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join their supportive team from September.
The school is committed to providing a nurturing and engaging learning environment where every pupil is supported to develop academically, socially, and emotionally. Staff work collaboratively to deliver personalised support, helping pupils build confidence, independence, and essential life skills while meeting their individual learning and sensory needs.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with experienced teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff to provide tailored support both in and out of the classroom. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with a range of special educational needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience supporting children or young people with SEND
- Be patient, caring, and resilient in their approach
- Have a genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning
- Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families
- Be committed to creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position.
