Senior Full Stack Ruby on Rails Developer (Remote - UK Based)
Location: Remote (UK only)
Salary: £70,000-£85,000 + Bonus Scheme
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Working Hours: Flexible | Friday afternoons for personal projects
About the Role
I am hiring a Senior Full Stack Developer with strong Ruby on Rails experience to join a remote-first, innovation-driven tech company. You'll work on impactful products using modern technologies like Ruby, TypeScript, AWS, and MySQL - all while enjoying a healthy work-life balance and continuous learning opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain full-stack web applications using Ruby on Rails and TypeScript
- Design scalable, secure backend systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features
- Optimise performance and troubleshoot issues
- Manage MySQL databases and deploy applications on AWS
Requirements
- 4+ years of full-stack development experience
- Proficiency in Ruby, TypeScript, MySQL, and AWS
- Familiarity with Ubuntu, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setup
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Knowledge of additional languages or frameworks
