A grammar school in Tonbridge is seeking a part-time Science Technician to join its established technical team. The successful applicant will support teachers with the preparation and delivery of practical science lessons.

The Role

• Practical resources: Prepare apparatus, chemicals and other materials for lessons.

• Department support: Assist teachers across Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

• Laboratory organisation: Maintain tidy and well-organised laboratories and preparation rooms.

• Equipment maintenance: Carry out routine checks and report faults to the senior technician.

• Safety: Follow relevant school, COSHH and laboratory safety procedures.

The Candidate

• Technically capable: Comfortable handling scientific equipment and practical resources.

• Organised: Able to work to deadlines around the school timetable.

• Experienced: Previous technician or laboratory experience would be beneficial.
