About the Role A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced School Safeguarding Officer to join a well-established school in Reading. You will play a key role in supporting the welfare and safeguarding of pupils, working closely with the DSL and wider school team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a first point of contact for safeguarding concerns
    • Support the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
    • Maintain accurate safeguarding and welfare records
    • Liaise with parents, staff, and external agencies
    • Assist with attendance and behaviour monitoring
About You
  • Previous safeguarding experience within a school or similar setting
    • Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and legislation
    • Excellent organisational and communication skills
    • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
