ICON Strategic Solutions seeks a Clinical Data Scientist with expertise in R Shiny application development and clinical trial data standards. The role involves designing interactive dashboards, building statistical tools for clinical studies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a sponsor-dedicated model across multiple European locations and South Africa.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain R Shiny applications for study monitoring and data visualization
- Develop modular, scalable R code and interactive dashboards following best practices
- Ensure all deliverables comply with CDISC standards, regulatory guidance, and SOPs
- Mentor junior programmers and drive knowledge-sharing and automation initiatives
- Participate in study meetings and provide technical programming expertise
Requirements
- 5+ years as statistical programmer in pharma, biotech, or CRO
- Strong clinical data experience with CDISC standards (SDTM, ADaM) and TLF production
- Extensive R Shiny development: end-to-end apps, UI/UX design, dashboards, optimization
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience deploying R Shiny applications in regulated environments
- Python, SAS, or other analytical tools experience preferred
