We're working with a specialist all-through school in King's Lynn to recruit a dedicated and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team. • Support pupils with SEMH needs both in and out of the classroom.
• Build positive, trusting relationships that promote confidence, engagement, and wellbeing.
• Assist with the delivery of personalised learning activities and interventions.
• Encourage positive behaviour and support pupils with emotional regulation.
• Help pupils successfully manage transitions throughout the school day.
• Use positive behaviour support strategies to de-escalate challenging situations.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and the wider school team.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide regular feedback to teaching staff.
• Contribute to a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive.

• Has previous experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or additional needs.
• Understands the barriers to learning experienced by pupils with SEMH.
• Has experience in behaviour support, youth work, mentoring, education, or a similar setting.
• Builds positive relationships through patience, consistency, and empathy.
• Remains calm and resilient when supporting pupils through challenging situations.
• Works collaboratively as part of a wider team.
• Is passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of young people.

This role involves working directly with children and young people and is subject to safer recruitment procedures.
