Accommodation Assistant (Full time)

£13.2 - £15.3 per hourEstimated

We are recruiting Accommodation Assistants for The Rose Hotel, Tralee, to assist with general duties in the Accommodation and Public Areas.

This role is a fast paced role, you will work in pairs when servicing the bedrooms.

General working hours are from 8.30am-4.30pm.

About The Role

This is a full time role, working 5 days with 2 days off. Required to work weekends and public holidays.

The main duties of the role are as follows:

· To service the allocated number of departure and stayover bedrooms as instructed on a daily basis

· To service all guest bedrooms are serviced to the agreed standard

· To ensure that all special requirements in bedrooms are in place for guests’ arrival

· To report any maintenance issues in bedrooms and public areas immediately

· To clean all allocated public areas of the hotel - if designated to this role on the day

· To clean and maintain all public toilets on a daily basis - if designated to this role on the day

· To keep all pantries clean and tidy and free from all hazards

· To keep adequate stock levels on service trolleys

· To ensure that linen is stored correctly and safely

· To prepare linen for collection and laundering

· To launder any items in house as instructed

. To attend any inhouse training and legislative training

· To clean and maintain all guest corridors and lift lobby’s

. Any other duties as required.

Criteria for the role:

. An advantage to have worked as an Accommodation Assistant/Cleaner previously

. To have a good level of English - both speaking and understanding

. To be flexible in your working days

. To work as part of a team

. To provide good customer service

Required Criteria

  • Ability to use inspection tools to ensure standards are met.
  • Experience cleaning public areas and servicing guest bedrooms.
  • Knowledge of correct linen storage and preparation for laundering.
  • Commitment to reporting maintenance issues or damages promptly.
  • Adherence to health and safety guidelines, especially regarding chemical handling.
  • Previous experience in this role an advantage

  • Fluent level of English
  • Previous work in a similar role
