TSR Legal are delighted to be working with a well established, multi service law firm in their search for a Conveyancing Legal Assistant to join their growing property team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with 1–2 years' conveyancing experience who is looking to build on their existing knowledge and develop their career within a supportive and established legal team.
The successful candidate will work closely with experienced fee earners, assisting with a varied residential conveyancing caseload while gradually taking on increased responsibility as their experience develops.
The Role
You will provide day-to-day support to the residential conveyancing team, assisting with matters from instruction through to completion and post-completion.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting fee earners with a varied residential conveyancing caseload
Supporting with sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity
Preparing correspondence and legal documentation
Communicating with clients, solicitors, lenders and other third parties
Requesting and reviewing relevant searches and documentation
Assisting with enquiries and progressing transactions
Keeping case management systems and client records up to date
Supporting with exchange and completion processes
Assisting with post-completion work
Providing general administrative and legal support to the wider property team
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
1–2 years' experience within residential conveyancing
Previous experience working within a law firm or conveyancing environment
A good understanding of the residential conveyancing process
Strong organisational and administrative skills
Excellent attention to detail
Good written and verbal communication skills
The ability to manage deadlines and prioritise workloads
A proactive and positive approach to learning and development
A genuine interest in developing a long-term career within conveyancing
This role would suit a Legal Assistant, Conveyancing Assistant or Junior Paralegal who is ready to take the next step and gradually develop their knowledge.
