We are seeking a professional, enthusiastic, and committed Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to join our well-established and inclusive primary school in Kensington & Chelsea, West London. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to support young children during the most formative years of their education and make a meaningful impact on their learning, development, and wellbeing.
Our school serves a diverse and dynamic community, and we pride ourselves on offering a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment where every child is valued and encouraged to achieve their full potential. We recognise that the Early Years are pivotal in laying the foundations for lifelong learning, and our EYFS provision is designed to provide high-quality, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
Role Overview
The EYFS Teaching Assistant will work closely with class teachers and the Early Years team to support children in Nursery and Reception. You will assist in delivering a curriculum that is stimulating, inclusive, and aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
In this role, you will support children’s learning across all areas, including communication and language, literacy, numeracy, personal, social, and emotional development, and physical development. You will provide guidance and support during structured activities, play-based learning, and daily routines, ensuring each child feels confident, safe, and motivated to learn.

Encouraging personal, social, and emotional development, including confidence, independence, cooperation, and resilience

Supporting physical development, including fine and gross motor skills
Observing, recording, and reporting on children’s progress and achievements to the class teacher
Helping maintain a safe, organised, and stimulating learning environment
Supporting children during daily routines, including arrivals, transitions, snack times, and toileting
Assisting children with additional needs under the guidance of the class teacher or SENCo
Collaborating with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure children’s learning and wellbeing
Maintaining professional conduct and contributing positively to the ethos of the school
