VANRATH are delighted to be partnering with a leading professional services firm to recruit a Personal Tax Assistant Manager to join a growing tax team in Belfast.

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven tax professional who is looking to progress their career within a market-leading environment. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of private clients, supporting both compliance delivery and advisory projects while developing their technical expertise.

The Role
Working as part of a successful Personal Tax team, you will support the delivery of high-quality tax services to a varied client portfolio, gaining valuable experience across compliance and advisory work.

What You Will Do

• Assist with the preparation and review of personal tax compliance assignments
• Support managers and senior team members with technical tax queries and advisory projects
• Develop relationships with clients, providing a professional and responsive service
• Gain exposure to areas including inheritance tax, trusts, succession planning and owner-managed businesses
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider tax practice
• Support and coach junior team members as you progress within the team

Requirements

• CTA qualified, part-qualified, or working towards qualification (ACA/ACCA/ATT also considered)
• Previous experience within Personal Tax gained in practice
• Good technical understanding of personal tax compliance
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage with clients
• A proactive approach with a genuine desire to develop within advisory tax
