JOB DESCRIPTION

To work as an effective member of early years team contributing to planning, delivering, and assessing a flexible high-quality education and care service which meets the needs of young people and their families.

This post is currently planned to be based at Symington EYC. However, the location of the EEL posts are subject to the needs of the Early Years service so this might change.

Please note, only applicants who have, or are working towards a BA Childhood Practices or equivalent will be considered for this role.

REQUIREMENTS

This post is considered to be Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly, the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made. Candidates who are working towards their degree will be considered and will be placed at Level 7 on the scale until they have successfully achieved the degree - the annual salary, adjusted for a term time work pattern, is from £14,579 to £16,355.
