About the Role

We are seeking a nurturing, enthusiastic, and dedicated Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming nursery setting in Colchester from September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate early years professional who is committed to providing high-quality care and education for young children. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing within a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
• Create a safe, caring, and stimulating learning environment.
• Observe, assess, and record children's progress and achievements.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Support children's individual needs and promote inclusive practice.
• Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and welfare requirements are met at all times.
• Contribute to the daily operation of the nursery and wider nursery events.

Requirements

• Level 3 Early Years Qualification (essential).
• Paediatric First Aid Certification (essential).
• Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting.
• Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A caring, patient, and positive attitude.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
