Join our dedicated catering team and play a key role in delivering a warm, welcoming, and high‑quality service to our customers.

As a Catering Assistant, you will work efficiently to support daily food preparation, serve meals and beverages, and help maintain a clean, safe, and friendly environment. Your positive attitude and commitment to great customer service will make a real difference in our busy setting.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Communicates clearly and confidently
  • Has good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Understands customer needs and current food trends
  • Works well as part of a team
  • Brings experience of customer service, with some exposure to till or cash handling

Experience within a catering environment is desirable, and holding an Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate would be an advantage.

Successful candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme before starting. This will be arranged by North Lanarkshire Council.

Alexander Peden - 30 hours per week - Monday to Friday -08.00 - 14.30

Allanton PS - 12.5 hours per weeek - Monday to Friday - 11:30-14.00

Calderbridge PS - 10 hours per week - Monday to Friday - 12.00 -14:00

Calderbridge PS - 12.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday - 11:00 -13.30

St Ignatius PS - 30 hours per week - Monday to Friday - 08.00 - 14.30

Cambusnethan PS - 17.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday - 11.00 - 14.30

Cookfreeze Unit - 12.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday - 11:00-13.30

Heathery Park FLC - 12.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday - 11:00-13.30

Knowetop PS - 15 hours per week - Monday to Friday- 11:00-14.00

Our Ladys High - 30 hours per week - Monday to Friday - 08.00 - 14.30

St Aidans PS - 32.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday - 07.30 - 14.30

St Brendans PS - 12.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday - 11:30-14.00

St Brendans PS - 25 hours per week - Monday to Friday - 09.00 - 02.30

*For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip. You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
