GSL Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a specialist school in Croydon. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) who is passionate about helping students reach their full potential.

The role involves supporting pupils with a range of additional needs within a specialist school environment. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored assistance, encourage engagement in learning and help students develop their communication, social and independence skills.

We are looking for someone who is patient, proactive and confident supporting pupils with a range of needs, including Autism and potentially challenging behaviours.

The ideal candidate will:

* Have previous experience working with children or young people with SEN.

* Be confident supporting pupils with Autism and additional learning needs.

* Have a patient, caring and adaptable approach.

* Be comfortable supporting students who may display challenging behaviours.

* Be able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

* Have strong communication and teamwork skills.

* Be reliable and committed to working full-time during term time.

* Have a genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs.

* MUST have a child and adult DBS or be willing to apply for one
