£13.1 - £15.5 per hourEstimated

Right across infrastructure, there’s a requirement to not only maintain, but also renew and reimagine. Whatever stage you’re at in your career, with us you’ll have an opportunity to grow and develop. Delivering essential infrastructure services for life, while being safety first, and client and customer centric in a friendly, fun and respectful environment where you are encouraged to thrive.

Where will you be working?

At M Group Energy, we’re enabling the energy essential to support our lives.

We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation.

This role will be within our Transmission & Renewables team. We design, build and commission substations at voltages up to and including 400kV. Our teams construct and maintain transmission lines and substations, ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of electricity.

This will be working on our SSEN OHL contracts throughout Scotland – if you’re based in Scotland and happy to travel across sites, we want to hear from you!

Want to come and be a part of it?

What will you be doing?

As a Wayleave Officer, your key responsibility will be to manage access to the parts of the site which are covered by Undertakings, Easements and Wayleaves. You’ll work with the clients’ land & development team and their grantors (landowners) to agree site access routes and resolve any issues. You’ll take the initiative to review and amend the access routes to meet the planned activity and gaining approval of the grantor and client.

  • Maintain records of site access agreements and updates
  • Liaise with land officers, site teams, and stakeholders to secure access consents
  • Respond to and log daily access-related queries
  • Update drawings, schedules, and client portals with changes
  • Inspect and monitor access routes for compliance and safety
  • Coordinate with authorities and utilities for access permissions
  • Manage public rights of way (PROW) during construction
  • Maintain access concerns log for weekly client meetings
  • Support RAMS reviews related to access
  • Assist with condition surveys, minor repairs, and route handbacks
  • Escalate unresolved stakeholder issues to the client

What you’ll bring

  • Knowledge of farming, industrial land use and other land management issues would be an advantage
  • Full UK driving license – happy to travel and stay away where necessary

What’s in it for you?

  • Matched or contributory pension scheme
  • Online GP service, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year

  • Life assurance
  • Cycle to work, salary finance and give as you earn schemes

In addition, this role offers;

  • Company car and fuel card with a range of EV and hybrid vehicles to choose from
  • My Car Choice our salary sacrifice EV/ Hybrid car scheme
