About The Role
Working Hours: 35 Hours Per Week (8.30am - 4.15pm with 45 minutes for lunch. There is some flexibility to WFH one or two days a week)

Qualification - Royal society Public Health level 2 pest control qualification or equivalent
Registration - Basis Prompt or equivalent
Driving Licence – The successful candidate should hold a full driving licence as you will be required to drive a vehicle adhering to council regulations.
Daily Challenges
No two days are the same. Senior technicians tackle a wide range of pest issues from rodents and insects to bedbugs and fleas across council premises, homes, and businesses. This variety keeps the role dynamic and engaging whilst you will be leading a staff team of technicians.Hands-On Problem Solving

- Delivering pest control services in residential, commercial, or public sector environments
- Investigating and resolving complex pest infestations using a range of treatment methods
- Advising customers and stakeholders on pest prevention and control strategies
- Working independently and managing a varied caseload across different locations
- Using digital systems to record visits, treatments, and outcomes accurately
- Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to support public health initiatives
Essential Requirements for the Role:
- BPCA Level 2 Award in Pest Management (or equivalent qualification)
- Proven experience in pest control, ideally in a senior or supervisory capacity
- Strong knowledge of pest biology, legislation, and safe use of pesticides
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to assess risk and apply health and safety protocols effectively
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Manchester
