IT Support Engineer - 12-month contract - Cambridge
My Customer is looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer with strong knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365 and Endpoint Management . The successful candidate will be hands-on, customer-focused and confident troubleshooting complex technical issues.
Skills required from the IT Support Engineer:
* Strong Windows 10/11 support experience.
* Strong Microsoft 365 experience.
* Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune and SCCM/MECM .
* Strong endpoint management and software deployment experience.
* Hardware, desktop and peripheral troubleshooting.
* Active Directory / Group Policy experience.
* Experience working within an ITIL/service desk environment .
* Excellent customer service and communication skills .
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
* Excellent prioritisation and time-management skills .
* Lab IT skills would be benefical Key Responsibilities of the IT Support Engineer: * Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Windows, hardware, software and peripherals .
* Support and manage endpoints using Microsoft Intune and SCCM/MECM .
* Install, configure and maintain operating systems and software applications.
* Manage patching, software updates and device lifecycle management .
* Support hardware refreshes, new device deployments and equipment moves/adds/changes .
* Troubleshoot connectivity issues and work with Networking, Security and other IT teams where required.
* Manage incidents and service requests in line with agreed SLAs .
* Assist with asset management, inventory and CMDB accuracy .
* Support wider IT projects and technology initiatives.
* Work closely with users, IT teams, vendors and stakeholders to resolve technical issues. The IT Support Engineer is required to be onsite, 5 days a week in Cambridge.
