What you will do
* Provide a professional and compassionate service to individuals in police custody.
* Perform forensic sampling as required and ensure all samples are properly managed.
* Assess fitness for detention, release, and interviews, as well as capacity to understand processes and charges.
* Manage and evaluate situations involving alcohol or drug intoxication and withdrawal.
* Provide guidance and support to custody officers in identifying healthcare needs and prioritising care.
* Deliver forensic services in accordance with the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984.
* Maintain accurate and contemporaneous records, ensuring all activities are logged using relevant systems.
* Collaborate with team members and external partners to ensure high-quality service delivery.
* Actively contribute to data collection for audits and service improvements.
* Share innovative ideas and solutions to continuously enhance service delivery.
