We are working with a fantastic specialist school in Harlow that is looking to appoint a caring and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team from September. This specialist setting supports young people with a range of complex needs, including Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Autism, and physical or sensory needs. The school provides a nurturing, inclusive, and personalised learning environment where every pupil is supported to develop their communication, independence, and life skills. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to provide high-quality, individualised support throughout the school day. You will assist pupils with their learning, communication, sensory activities, personal care, and mobility needs, helping to create a safe and engaging environment where every young person can thrive. The ideal candidate will: Have experience supporting children or young people with complex SEND needs, SLD, Autism, or physical/sensory needsBe caring, patient, and compassionateBe comfortable supporting pupils with personal care, mobility, and medical needs where requiredHave a genuine passion for helping young people develop independence and confidenceBe able to build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleaguesWork effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team This is a rewarding opportunity to join a specialist school where you can make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people every day.
