H&S Asbestos are one of the UK’s leading asbestos removal contractors, and are recruiting for an experienced administrator to join our head office team. H&S Asbestos operate UK-wide and the successful candidate will be based at head office, with occasional travel to and from projects.
Location: Head Office in Fareham (PO16 8UL)
Salary: 27k – 30k dependent on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Break projects into doable actions and set timeframes.
- Liaise with clients to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives.
- Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management.
- Make sure that clients’ needs are met as projects evolve.
- Oversee project equipment management.
- Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all relevant parties.
- Process weekly timesheets onto HR software.
- Manage holiday and sickness records.
- Must be able to work on own initiative.
About you
As an Administrator you will need to manage and coordinate all relevant projects, from straightforward actions to intricate planning. Working closely with our Operations Director and Contracts Managers, the Administrator’s duties include creating detailed project documentation, such as method statements including job details and timelines, as well as assisting the team in processing and organising orders to and from sites across the UK.
In addition to general administrative work, you will carry out a variety of coordinating tasks, including answering the telephone and responding to enquiries. You'll work with relevant clients and colleagues to complete jobs on time; therefore, you need to be skilled at time management and collaborative working. The Administrator will be the divisions first point of contact, so must have excellent telephone and communication skills
- Previous asbestos removal experience or strong demonstrable construction experience operating within a similar role.
- Relevant Professional Qualifications (GCSE’s and/or A Levels, including English, Math’s and Science).
- Ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of SHEQ and industry regulations.
- Knowledge and ability to manage transport requirements, site waste, environmental management plans (desirable).
