We are looking for an experienced and motivated Community Wellbeing Worker to join our Health and Community Wellbeing Service on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. Working with a dynamic team you will support a wide variety of interventions and activities. From parenting courses to early years sessions and sessions for young people.
Who you are…
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Relevant experience of direct work with children, young people and families, including both 1:1 and group work
- Experience of creativity and innovation.
- Knowledge of safeguarding legislation, Early Help thresholds and multi-agency working
- Experience of working with a wide variety of agencies in an effective way to improve outcomes for children and families.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A commitment to promoting equality, inclusion and positive outcomes for children and families
About the role…
As a Community Wellbeing Worker, you will play a role in delivering Family Hub and active services across universal provision. Your responsibilities will include:
- Linking individuals to professional and community-based support
- Planning, coordinating and delivering targeted and bespoke early intervention support for children, young people and families. This will be across a variety of venues in Rutland
- Identifying early and supporting, those children, young people and families with emerging needs
- Working closely with the Living Well Rutland teams, Libraries and Adult & Community Learning as well as partners including Social Care, Family Help, SEND, health and voluntary sector organisations
- Contributing to performance monitoring, evaluation and continuous service improvement
As a Community and Wellbeing Worker, you will be required to work flexibly, when the community needs support. A full UK driving license is required to enable the post holder to travel around the county. Evening and weekend work may also be required.
The successful applicant for the Community and Wellbeing Worker post will be subject to an enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The costs for the DBS are paid by us.
The Community Wellbeing Worker interviews will be held on 08 June 2026. Please be advised this could be subject to change, in which case we will give appropriate notice.
