We are looking for enthusiastic Social Workers to join a number of our busy Integrated Neighbourhood Teams in North, Central and South Manchester.

This Social Worker role includes undertaking Care Act assessments, support planning, reviewing services, acting as the duty worker alongside a manager, completing home visits, assessing mental capacity and making best interest decisions, assessing and managing risk, undertaking enquiries under s. 42 of the Care Act and holding a busy and complex caseload - all working alongside allied health and community colleagues; and citizens and carers.

Applicants should be able to maintain accurate and detailed records, be motivated and forward-thinking and  demonstrate professionalism and enthusiasm.  They should have good knowledge of IT systems and adequate IT skills to record and update information.

These role holders will work to provide direct support for individuals and families in accordance with statutory responsibilities and local and national policies and procedures in order to secure positive outcomes for Manchester residents.

The INTs are diverse and include staff with a range of knowledge and experience - applicants should demonstrate open-mindedness in terms of growth and learning alongside peers and their managers.

About the Candidate

We are looking for a Social Worker who are willing to learn, are enthusiastic and have a good work ethic, are supportive of their peers and willing to support the team.

Applicants should be able to work in a flexible manner whilst managing their own time and workload. A commitment to training and continuous personal development is important, as is a commitment to complying with MCC policies and procedures where necessary.

Willingness to consent to and apply for an enhanced disclosure check. Working in an INT can be challenging, but is also highly varied and rewarding, we work with people who are experiencing changes and significant life events and who rely on us to support them through difficult times.
