Year 5 Teacher
- Location: Northfield, Birmingham, B31
- Pay Scale: MPS £32,900 - UPS £51,000 + SEN Allowance (£2,679 - £5,497)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Contract: Permanent (Long Term Futures)
- Days / Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons for a Year 5 class.
- Adapt teaching strategies to support pupils with a range of SEN needs, including children with EHCPs.
- Create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SENCO, parents, and external professionals.
- Monitor pupil progress and contribute to reviews and support plans where required.
- Use effective behaviour management strategies to support learning and engagement.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) with a strong interest in SEN.
- Experience supporting children with additional needs in a primary setting is desirable.
- Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills.
- Patient, resilient, and committed to inclusive education.
- A collaborative and proactive approach to teaching and learning.
- One-form entry primary school with an Outstanding Ofsted rating.
- Supportive and inclusive ethos with a strong focus on pupil wellbeing.
- Experienced Senior Leadership Team and dedicated support staff.
- Excellent SEN provision and strong links with external agencies.
