PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT – TRANSPORT PLANNING
You will lead transport planning commissions from inception through to completion, managing project teams, coordinating technical delivery and acting as a key point of contact for clients and stakeholders. Responsibilities • Managing a range of transport planning projects across both public and private sector clients
• Preparation and review of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans
• Client and stakeholder engagement
• Development of transport strategies and supporting planning documentation
• Project management, programme management and commercial oversight
• Supporting business development activities and proposal submissions
• Mentoring and developing junior team members
• Working collaboratively with planners, engineers and designers across the wider business Requirements • Degree qualified in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography or similar
• Significant transport planning consultancy experience
• Strong understanding of the UK planning process
• Experience delivering development-led transport planning projects
• Excellent report writing and communication skills
• Client-facing experience
• Ability to manage projects independently
• Experience mentoring junior staff Desirable • MCIHT, TPP or equivalent professional membership
• Experience managing fee proposals and business development activities
• Knowledge of transport modelling software including LinSig, ARCADY and PICADY Package
