Who are we?
We are ranked as the UK’s #1 construction specific software player and our mission is simple; to provide market leading end-to-end software solutions to the construction and construction like industries across the entire build life cycle.
If you are looking to build an exceptional career with an award-winning company you’ve come to the right place. Our teams are based in the UK, Europe, and India, working on products that are used on a global scale. We have a clear and defined road map to deliver over the next 3 years, which is centred around a large-scale digital transformation as well as continuing our growth and expansion.
We embrace diversity and equality and want our employees to be comfortable bringing their whole selves to work. We are committed to building a team with a variety of backgrounds, skills and views. Creating a culture of Equality isn’t just the right thing to do, it improves every aspect of our business.
Purpose
You will own the commercial performance of a portfolio of strategic public sector accounts, with full accountability for retention, expansion, and long-term customer value. Managing a defined base of existing Causeway customers, you will be responsible for protecting recurring revenue (Gross Revenue Retention) and driving meaningful growth (Net Revenue Retention) through structured account planning, multi-threaded engagement, and disciplined opportunity execution. Success in this role comes from building credibility, understanding customer organisations in depth, and consistently uncovering value-led expansion opportunities aligned to customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Own & Develop Customer Relationships
• Build deep, trusted relationships across multiple levels within each account, from operational users to senior decision-makers and procurement.
• Develop a strong understanding of each customer’s strategy, priorities, challenges, and operating environment.
• Build multi-threaded engagement to strengthen account resilience and reduce dependency on single stakeholders.
• Become a recognised and valued partner, positioning Causeway as integral to customer success.
Retain & Strengthen Revenue
• Own and deliver against Gross Revenue Retention (GRR) targets, ensuring timely, predictable renewals.
• Ensure customers realise measurable outcomes and ROI from Causeway solutions.
• Lead structured renewal processes, positioning renewals as a continuation of value rather than a transactional event.
• Anticipate and mitigate churn risks through strong account insight and relationship management.
Grow & Expand Accounts
• Identify and develop expansion opportunities through a deep understanding of customer needs and organisational change.
• Drive Net Revenue Retention (NRR) through thoughtful, value-led up-sell and cross-sell motions.
• Build and execute long-term account plans, identifying whitespace and sequencing growth opportunities over time.
• Apply MEDDPICC rigorously to all expansion opportunities, ensuring clear qualification, deal strategy, and execution discipline.
Lead Strategic Engagement
• Conduct regular strategic business reviews with senior stakeholders, linking Causeway solutions to customer objectives and outcomes.
• Navigate public sector procurement processes, frameworks, and compliance requirements with confidence.
• Represent Causeway at industry events, roundtables, and customer engagements to strengthen market presence and relationships.
Operate with Consistency & Insight
• Maintain high-quality CRM hygiene, ensuring all account activity, opportunities, and forecasts are accurate and up to date.
• Deliver consistent pipeline generation, maintaining appropriate coverage to support growth targets.
• Produce accurate, data-driven forecasts for renewals and expansion opportunities.
• Work cross-functionally with Customer Adoption, Customer Experience, Product, Pre-Sales, and Marketing to execute account strategies and deliver a seamless customer journey.
Advocate & Improve
• Act as the voice of the customer internally, ensuring feedback informs product development and service improvements.
• Share insight and best practice across the team to enhance overall account management capability.
• Leverage digital and AI-driven tools to improve your productivity, insight, and deal execution.
Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Essential
• Proven track record of owning and growing revenue within existing accounts in a SaaS or technology environment.
• Strong track record of delivering high retention rates and consistent, sustainable account growth.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify, shape, and close expansion opportunities.
• Experience applying structured sales methodologies (e.g. MEDDPICC) to manage complex deals.
• Ability to build and influence relationships with senior stakeholders, including procurement and technical leadership.
• Skilled in navigating complex sales cycles, including renewals, negotiations, and multi-stakeholder environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience responding to RFPs, RFIs, and tenders.
• High level of discipline in CRM usage, pipeline management, and forecasting accuracy.
• Self-sufficient, proactive, and highly organised, with strong time and territory management.
Desirable
• Experience selling into and managing accounts within the public sector.
• Understanding of public sector procurement frameworks and buying processes.
• Experience in the built environment, infrastructure, or digital transformation sectors.
• Degree-level education or equivalent.
