Health Screener

Nothing But Recruitment is excited to announce an opportunity for a Health Screener to join a leading organisation in the occupational health sector. This permanent position is based in Inverness and offers a chance to make a meaningful impact on employee health and wellbeing across various industries.

The Role

As a Health Screener, you will be part of an expanding peripatetic team, travelling across the UK to deliver high-quality health surveillance services using a Mobile Medical Unit (MMU). This role is rewarding and varied, ensuring the health and wellbeing of employees while providing you with the support and training needed to thrive.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct health surveillance screenings, including audiometry, lung function testing, and baseline measurements such as height, weight, blood pressure, and urinalysis.
  • Accurately record all medical information in occupational health records and ensure it is passed to the relevant clinical staff.
  • Maintain and ensure all equipment is clean, serviceable, and fit for purpose.
  • Support health promotion activities and assist the wider occupational health team as needed.
  • Provide biometric data to enable informed clinical decisions regarding patient management.

What You’ll Need

  • A highly skilled and self-motivated approach with excellent time management and communication abilities.
  • Solid understanding of GDPR and the capability to deliver health promotion and surveillance services effectively.
  • Experience as a Healthcare Support Worker, Emergency Care Assistant, Ambulance Technician, or similar roles is desirable; graduates in Sports Science with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
  • Valid manual UK driving licence, held for a minimum of 12 months, and at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to travel across the UK with regular overnight stays, while maintaining a positive work-life balance.
