Laser Setter Operator

Job Details:

• Pay: £15.00 per hour (Negotiable DOE)
• Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday, 6am - 3pm, Friday 6am - 12pm
• Duration: Temp To Perm

Job Role: The successful Laser Setter Operator will be responsible for setting and operating fibre optic laser cutting machinery within a busy sheet metal fabrication environment. The Laser Setter Operator will work from technical drawings to accurately cut sheet metal components to specification, ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout the production process. Duties will include machine setup, loading and unloading materials, and carrying out basic machine maintenance to ensure efficient operation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Laser Setter Operator seeking a long-term position with a reputable manufacturing business.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

• Previous experience setting and operating a CNC laser cutter
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Experience working within a sheet metal fabrication environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

• C&G/NVQ in Fabrication or a related Mechanical Engineering discipline
• CAD-related qualifications
• Experience with fibre optic laser cutting equipment
• Previous experience as a CNC Laser Setter, CNC Laser Operator, CNC Plasma Setter, CNC Plasma Operator, CNC Setter, or CNC Operator
