HGV Class 2 RoRo Driver - South Kirkby
Pay Rate: £15.55 per hourOvertime Rate: £23.33 per hour after 45 hours Monday to Friday | 07:00am – 17:15pm

Temp to Perm Opportunity Smart Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading company within the waste and recycling sector, for an experienced HGV Class 2 RoRo Driver based in South Kirkby. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business offering regular hours, overtime opportunities and long-term career prospects. As an HGV Class 2 RoRo Driver, you will be responsible for the safe collection, transportation and delivery of waste materials using Roll-On Roll-Off vehicles. This is a single-person operation, therefore some manual handling will be required as part of the role. Key Responsibilities Safely operate HGV Class 2 RoRo vehicles in accordance with road traffic and company regulations.
Collect and transport waste materials to designated disposal and recycling facilities.
Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
Maintain accurate records of collections, deliveries and vehicle inspections.
Plan routes efficiently to ensure timely collections and deliveries.
Deliver a professional and courteous service to customers.
Follow all health & safety, environmental and waste management regulations.
Requirements Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
Driver CPC Qualification.
Digital Tachograph Card.
Previous HGV Class 2 driving experience.
RoRo experience is preferred but not essential as training may be provided for the right candidate.
Good communication and customer service skills.
A reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach.
