About the School
A highly regarded school in High Wycombe is seeking an experienced Facilities Assistant to support the smooth operation and maintenance of its school site.
The successful candidate will work closely with the wider premises team to ensure classrooms, communal areas, grounds and facilities remain safe, clean and fully operational.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the daily operation of the school site.
Carrying out routine site checks.
Completing minor repairs and maintenance.
Supporting room preparation and furniture moves.
Maintaining external areas and playgrounds.
Assisting with deliveries and stock.
Supporting contractors visiting the school.
Reporting maintenance and facilities issues.
Assisting with health and safety checks.
Supporting fire safety procedures.
Monitoring the condition of school buildings.
Maintaining clean, safe and presentable communal areas.
Assisting with school events and room setups.
Requirements
Previous experience working in a school facilities, premises or caretaking role is essential.
Practical maintenance experience.
Understanding of health and safety within a school environment.
Reliable and flexible approach.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work independently.
Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
