Position: Senior Electrical Design Engineer Location: London, United Kingdom Salary: Up to £75,000 (dependent on experience) Working Arrangement: Hybrid Working (3 days office / 2 days home) Employment Type: Permanent A Senior Electrical Design Engineer is required for a well-established Building Services consultancy with over 60 years of industry experience and a workforce of more than 100 employees. Senior Electrical Design Engineer Job Overview Lead the design and delivery of electrical building services projects across commercial, residential, PBSA, hotel, and mixed-use developments. Manage projects throughout the full lifecycle from RIBA Stage 1 through to handover. Produce electrical calculations, technical specifications, reports, and detailed design information. Attend client, design team, and project meetings as a key technical representative. Coordinate designs with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and wider project teams. Support and mentor junior and intermediate engineers within the business. Review project deliverables to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with current regulations and standards. Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting repeat business opportunities. Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider engineering team to deliver high-quality projects. Senior Electrical Design Engineer Job Requirements Minimum of 5 years' experience within a Building Services consultancy environment. Strong experience delivering electrical designs on large-scale commercial, residential, hotel, PBSA, or mixed-use developments. Ability to manage projects independently and confidently engage with clients and stakeholders. Experience across detailed design and technical delivery stages. Strong understanding of current and upcoming Building Services regulations and standards. Commercial awareness and understanding of the construction and development process. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. Excellent communication skills with the ability to mentor junior engineers and represent the business professionally.
