Creative Learning Mentor (Avonmouth)

We're looking for compassionate, creative and resilient Creative Learning Mentors to support pupils in a primary school in Avonmouth who need a little extra help to succeed. You'll work either 1:1 or with small groups, helping children build confidence, regulate emotions and re-engage with learning in a positive, supportive way. No two days are the same. One morning you could be building trust through Lego, art or outdoor learning. The next, you'll be celebrating a child staying in class for the whole lesson for the very first time. Those small wins soon become big ones. What you'll be doing Supporting pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs.Delivering engaging 1:1 and small group interventions.Building positive relationships based on trust, patience and consistency.Using creative activities to encourage communication, confidence and emotional regulation.Working closely with teachers, SENDCOs and pastoral teams to help every child reach their potential.Creating a calm, safe and encouraging learning environment. We'd love to hear from you if you have experience in: Behaviour support.Youth work.Sports coaching.Drama, music or the creative arts.Residential care.Mental health support.SEND settings.Teaching Assistant or Learning Mentor roles.Working with children or young people who need additional support.
