Attendance Officer - Derby - January 2026
A large secondary school in Derby is looking to appoint a dedicated Attendance Officer to strengthen its pastoral and safeguarding provision from January 2026 .
Role Overview
You will be responsible for monitoring student attendance, following up concerns and working closely with pastoral and safeguarding teams to improve attendance outcomes.
Key responsibilities:
- monitoring daily registers and attendance reports
- carrying out first-day calling
- preparing attendance data for pastoral and SLT meetings
- liaising with parents and external agencies
- supporting attendance interventions for students with barriers to learning
