Senior Platform Engineer

Our client is scaling its cloud infrastructure to support a fast-growing SaaS product used by a large base of enterprise customers. As Senior Platform Engineer, you will own the internal developer platform, improve reliability and deployment speed, and mentor a small team of engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain Kubernetes-based infrastructure on AWS
• Own CI/CD pipelines and drive adoption of GitOps practices
• Build self-service tooling that lets product teams ship without platform bottlenecks
• Improve observability, incident response and SLO tracking
• Lead infrastructure-as-code standards using Terraform
• Champion security and cost optimisation across the platform

Essential Requirements

• 5+ years in platform, DevOps or SRE roles
• Strong hands-on Kubernetes and Docker experience
• Production experience with AWS
• Proficiency in Terraform or equivalent IaC
• Scripting ability in Python or Go
• Experience with CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Jenkins)

Desirable

• Experience with ArgoCD or Flux
• Prometheus, Grafana or Datadog
• Exposure to SOC 2 or ISO 27001 environments
• Previous team leadership or mentoring experience
