As a Physiotherapist Functional Assessor, you will complete structured functional health assessments with people who have physical or mental health conditions or disabilities. Depending on the available assessment pathway, you may explore how an individual’s condition affects:

This is an assessment and report-writing position. A significant part of your working day will involve gathering detailed information, using digital systems and preparing structured reports. You will need to consider how an individual’s condition affects their function rather than focusing on the diagnosis alone. This requires active listening, objective evidence gathering, critical reasoning and careful exploration of any apparent inconsistencies. You will not:
These are permanent hybrid opportunities with a combination of home working and attendance at an agreed assessment centre.
The roles provide predictable weekday working, with no night shifts, weekend shifts or rotating clinical rota.
The precise working hours, assessment-centre attendance and full-time or part-time options will be confirmed for the individual vacancy before your application is submitted.
Training
Structured training and clinical support are provided before you undertake assessments independently.
Essential requirements
You must be a qualified Physiotherapist with current HCPC registration and no restrictions affecting your practice.
You must have at least 12 months of post-registration clinical experience. You will need:
