Nursery Practitioner

Monarch Education are looking for a qualified and experienced Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a nursery school setting in Northfield. This is a long‑term position from September 2026, working Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm .

Role Responsibilities

• Deliver and evaluate purposeful learning activities aligned with the EYFS.
• Support children’s physical, emotional, social and cognitive development through high‑quality interactions.
• Promote learning through play and encourage curiosity, independence and confidence.
• Carry out accurate observations, assessments and record‑keeping to support the planning cycle.
• Maintain a safe, secure and compliant environment in line with safeguarding and health & safety procedures.
• Follow child protection policies and ensure the welfare of all children is prioritised.
• Support children’s daily routines, including hygiene, mealtimes and transitions.
• Ensure learning areas are clean, organised and well‑resourced.
• Communicate professionally with parents, carers and colleagues, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
• Work collaboratively within the team to uphold consistent standards of care and behaviour management.

Essential Requirements

• A recognised Level 3 Early Years qualification (e.g., CACHE, NVQ, Early Years Educator).
• A minimum of three months’ experience working in a nursery or Early Years setting.
• Strong working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) .
• Understanding of child development milestones and age‑appropriate planning.
• Ability to create engaging and inclusive activities supporting holistic development.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and organisational skills.
• A reliable, professional and child‑centred approach.
