Year 5 Teacher – Watford – September 2026 Location: Watford, Hertfordshire Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term Pay: £186–£286 per day, depending on experience and qualifications Are you an enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher ready for your next opportunity? As a Year 5 teacher, you will play an important role in preparing pupils for the final stages of their primary education. The school is looking for someone who can inspire curiosity, maintain high expectations and create a classroom where every child feels supported and motivated to succeed. The Role You will be responsible for: Planning and delivering engaging, creative lessons across the Year 5 curriculum.Providing an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all pupils.Assessing and monitoring pupil progress and providing effective feedback.Promoting positive behaviour and strong classroom routines.Supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development.Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents and support staff.Contributing positively to the wider life of the school. The Ideal Candidate We would love to hear from teachers who: Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.Have experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5.Have strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.Have high expectations of themselves and their pupils.Are confident with behaviour management and classroom organisation.Can adapt their teaching to support pupils of different abilities.Build strong and positive relationships with children.Are enthusiastic, creative and committed to making a difference.
