Job description
Are you looking for a rewarding role in care, covering the East Belfast and Holywood areas? Would you love to support people to remain in their own homes? If so, why not join our team at Optimum Care. As a Community Carer, you will support our clients in their own homes. You will work within one location/area, on either single or double runs. We have Full time and Part time positions available.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care in clients’ homes (washing, dressing/undressing).
- Prepare snacks and refreshments.
- Prompt or administer medication.
- Use approved equipment (hoists, slide sheets) for safe assistance.
- Offer practical support (light cleaning, shopping, laundry).
- Promote clients’ independence, choice, rights, and dignity.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Have a full driver’s licence with access to a car & car insurance in connection with business.
- Have a desire to care for people in their own homes.
- Access to a mobile phone.
Further Information
£500 Joining Bonus paid after 3 months in role. As a Community Carer, you will support our clients in their own homes. You will work within one location/area, on either single or double runs. We have two shifts, day and evening, we will give you a contract with guaranteed hours, and you select how many shifts you can fulfil each week. No experience is needed as we provide you with all training.
