Job Summary
There is an opportunity to join our existing team on a fixed term contract (until 31st August 2027) at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust. We are seeking to appoint a Clinical Fellow (DCT 1/2 level) in Oral Surgery and Maxillofacial Surgery and provide an excellent opportunity for suitably qualified specialists to actively contribute to the further development of a modern Oral Surgery service within this highly regarded Trust.

The Head and Neck Directorate consist of 18 substantive consultants working within the Departments of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, ENT and Orthodontics.

The Maxillofacial consultant team consists of 6. The successful candidate will support the Oral and Maxillofacial Consultants in the Outpatients Clinics and treat patients under local and general anaesthesia.

The rota is 1 in 9 which is shared with 4 DCT's from Russell's Hall Hospital. These sessions are compliant with the new Resident Doctor contract.

This DCT post offers excellent opportunities to treat a wide range of Oral and Maxillofacial patients and to improve basic oral surgery skills. The successful applicant will work in a busy well equipped department and will be provided with surgery training covering all aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Person Specification
Professional Registration

• GDC registered (Essential)

DCT/ Trust Fellow

• DBS or equivalent Dental Qualification (Essential)
• General dentistry and oral surgery skills (Essential)
• Basic Life support skills (Essential)
• Completion of Dental Foundation (Desirable)

Experience

• Evidence of previous hospital experience (Essential)
