DT Technician - Oxford Secondary School - January 2026 Start
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and enthusiastic DT Technician to join a thriving Ofsted Good secondary school in Oxford from January 2026. The successful candidate will work within the Design and Technology department, supporting teachers and students in delivering a wide range of engaging and hands-on lessons. Key Responsibilities
• Preparing and maintaining materials, tools, and equipment for practical lessons
• Assisting staff and students with the safe and effective use of machinery and tools
• Ensuring all workshops and storage areas meet health and safety regulations
• Supporting the development of displays and project resources
• Managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and carrying out routine maintenance
Requirements
• Previous experience as a DT Technician or in a workshop/engineering environment
• Good practical and technical skills, with knowledge of woodwork, metalwork, or CAD desirable
• Understanding of health and safety procedures within a workshop setting
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Legal right to work in the UK
