Housekeeper

Full-time

To work within the Domestic and Laundry Departments, while also working within the Christian ethos of Corkey House.

To tidy bedrooms, clean bathrooms, toilets, corridors, tidy sitting rooms, make beds and use equipment according to instructions.
To respect the personal needs and wishes of the residents at all times.
To wash, iron all household laundry e.g. sheets, pillowcases, napkins etc.
To have integrity, honesty and patience and ability to work as a member of the caring team.
To be in sympathy with the Christian ethos of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland.

Essential Skills

Evidence an understanding of and respect for the needs of older people.
Experience of working with older people.
Willingness to work additional hours to meet the requirements of the Home.
Awareness of health and safety practices within a working and residential environment.
Experience of cleaning outside of the domestic setting.
Must be willing to behave in a manner which respects the Christian ethos of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland.

20/hrs per week (shifts: 8am-1pm, 2pm-7pm worked flexibly across the rota). We are an Equal Opportunities Employer.
