A well-regarded secondary school in Burton-on-Trent is looking for a diligent and proactive Finance Assistant to join its finance office from January 2026 .
The Role
Supporting the School Business Manager, you will help ensure the smooth running of the school’s financial operations, including:
- Processing purchase orders, invoices and payments
- Managing reconciliations and budget records
- Monitoring departmental spend and producing reports
- Handling petty cash and school trip payments
- Supporting year-end procedures and audits
- Liaising with suppliers, staff and budget holders
