Relief Environmental Operative 1 - Penrhos Depot

About the role

Please note that the advertised salary for this position is subject to the pending 2026/2027 national pay award. The final salary will be adjusted accordingly once this has been agreed.

We are looking to recruit Environmental Operatives to join our busy Waste Collection Service on a Relief basis, based at our Penrhos Depot, Llandysul. 

There is an opportunity to join the Local Environment team providing frontline collections of recycling, food waste, residual waste and glass and street cleaning activities.

On a day to day basis you:

• Will load refuse and recycling materials onto vehicles as required.
• Will empty litter bins.
• Carry out the physical activities required – to include lifting, sweeping, stretching and bending.
• Will be required to work outside in all weathers.

We are looking to recruit individuals who have

• Experience of physical / manual work.
• Experience of working in a team environment.
• Experience of lone working.
